Metro Inc. has announced organizational changes among its executive leadership team. The changes are part of the company’s succession planning and are effective September 29, 2025.
Quebec Division
Loïc Cloutier has been appointed senior vice president for Metro. Previously, he was senior vice president of Super C. He joined Metro in 2015 after more than 20 years in the food retail industry, including six years as a store manager. He started as a district manager for Super C and rose to become senior vice president of the banner in 2023.
Anna Kolakowski has been promoted to senior vice president of Super C. She was vice president of merchandising for the banner. She joined Metro in 2001 as a category manager and was promoted to director of central procurement in 2007. She joined the merchandising team in 2008.
Christina Bédard is now vice president of merchandising for Super C. Previously, she was vice president of continuous improvement for Metro Inc. She joined Metro in 2003 as a replenishment specialist and was promoted to manager of consumer services in 2005. She worked in different roles until being appointed to her continuous improvement role in 2023.
Shannon Skinner becomes vice president of continuous improvement programs. She was senior director of supply chain and replenishment for Metro Inc. She joined the logistics team in 2018 as director, supply chain optimization and was promoted to her current position in 2024.
Ontario Division
Sal Galle has been appointed vice president of merchandising for Metro. Previously he was vice president of merchandising for Food Basics. He has been with Metro for more than 20 years.
Mike Rose is now vice president merchandising for grocery for Metro. Most recently he was vice president of merchandising for fresh at Metro
Chris MacDonald is now vice president of merchandising for Food Basics. He was senior director of merchandising, meat for Food Basics.
National Procurement
Natacha Roy is appointed vice president of national procurement, Grocery, Health and Beauty. Previously, she was senior director, national procurement, grocery, health and beauty
Martin Turcotte is vice president of business intelligence, Metro Inc. He was vice president of m merchandising for grocery at Metro.
Jean-Michael Guillemette has been named senior director of merchandising, grocery at Metro. He was director of merchandising for Metro.
Logistics and Distribution
Dan Gabbard, vice president of logistics and distribution retires Feb 2026 and Yanick Blanchet, currently vice president of supply chain, succeeds Gabbard.
Sami Birem is the new director of supply chain, Metro Inc. He was director of supply chain for Quebec.
Pascal Carrière is appointed vice president of distribution, pharmacy. Previously, he was senior director of distribution, pharmacy.
